Who We Are

KCBioMedix® is dedicated to developing a new generation of neonatal care technologies for preterm, full term, and critical care infants.  Our team is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for infants and their families.

Our mission is to enhance the neonatal environment with innovative diagnostic and therapeutic devices that advance the physician and clinicians understanding and care for their patients.

Our team works with leading, international research and medical professionals who understand both physical and neurological infant development.  Together, we will create cutting edge products that improve standard of care, optimize patient outcomes, and increase health care system benefits.

Our first breakthrough device, the NTrainer System®, enables neonatal care units to assess and then provide therapy to develop infant non-nutritive suck – a vital skill that has been linked to faster transition to oral feeds (1-5), more rapid weight gain (6-7), shortened hospital stays (8-11), and reduced hospital costs (8-11).

The Problem We Solve

Difficulties with oral feeding are a common problem in preterm infants12,13,14   Failure to transition to oral feeding has been shown to slow weight gain and increase the length of hospital stay15, causing stress for the family while driving up the cost of care.

KCBioMedix ® is dedicated to solving feeding issues in premature infants. Its first product, the NTrainer System ®, is a revolutionary FDA-listed device that delivers a reliable quantitative assessment of an infant’s ability to suck , and then administers therapy to help it improve.
